Hotel Barrière Fouquet's Tribeca, marks Groupe Barrière's inaugural venture into the United States. This esteemed French hospitality group, with a legacy spanning over a century, sought to bring the elegance and sophistication of their flagship Parisian property to the vibrant streets of New York City.
Barrel Aged Management (BAM) played a pivotal role in this ambitious project, collaborating closely with Groupe Barrière and Caspi Development over a three-year period. Our comprehensive involvement encompassed various facets of the hotel's development, including spatial planning, design adaptation, and navigating the complexities of New York's State Liquor Authority (SLA) regulations.
One of the primary challenges was to seamlessly blend the classic Parisian charm of the original Fouquet's, situated on the luxurious corner of Champs-Élysées and Avenue George V, with the dynamic and industrial aesthetic of Tribeca. To achieve this, renowned interior designer Martin Brudnizki was commissioned to craft interiors that marry Art Deco-inspired elements with contemporary New York flair, resulting in a harmonious fusion of French elegance and Tribeca's modern industrialism.
The hotel's amenities are a testament to luxury and thoughtful design. In addition to a unique collaboration with celebrity-adored Kirk Myer's DOGPOUND, guests can indulge in the Spa Diane Barrière, which offers a range of wellness treatments, or enjoy a cinematic experience in the state-of-the-art screening room. The property also boasts several dining venues, including the iconic Fouquet's New York, a reinterpretation of the timeless Parisian brasserie.
BAM's strategic acumen and adept orchestration of diverse talents were instrumental in overcoming the potential pitfalls of introducing a storied French brand to the ever-evolving landscape of New York City. Our efforts culminated in the successful opening of Hotel Barrière Fouquet's New York on September 29, 2022, establishing it as a landmark destination that epitomizes luxury and sophistication in the city that never sleeps.
